4 Weeks of Football Fun

Here's a look into how I have been spending all of my "free time" since volleyball season has ended. I'm sure you will all be shocked to see how I've spent my weekends off (cue the immense amount of sarcasm)...

November 11th-13th: State College, PA
My parents have season tickets to Penn State football games each season. One of my good high school friends, RJ, is dating a girl who actually attended Penn State as an undergraduate student and has been dying to get RJ to a Penn State football game and to visit Happy Valley for years. During the summer, we looked at our football calendars and decided to use my parents set of 4 tickets to go to the Penn State-Nebraska game (little did we know that it would be quite an interesting weekend to go!) Despite the frenzy, me, Andy, Justine and RJ had a great time at the game, visiting my aunt and uncle at their tailgate, and showing RJ around town.

November 20th: Landover, MD
Every year, Andy and I look forward to attending the Dallas Cowboys-Redskins game in Landover. It's usually the only Cowboys game we can go to each season so we really enjoy going to tailgate with friends, put on our blue and silver, especially when we get a big win! This year was no different as we enjoyed friends and another W in the win column :)

November 26th: Charlottesville, VA
My highschool/Hokie friends headed down south to C'Ville for the annual VT-UVA game. The game this year mattered much more than it has in years past. The winner earned the bid to play Clemson in the ACC Championship Game. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous. We found a great obscure parking spot to tailgate for a little on an unseasonably warm November morning. As always, I enjoyed kicking back with friends, chatting about football, and looking forward to a great game. And a great game it was... for the Hokies! We won 38-0, not even enough time for me to (in typical Heather fashion) get nervous and spazzy! It was fun from kick-off to final whistle with lots of cheering and celebrating in-between. With the win, we set the date for our VT-Clemson rematch. Uh ohhhhhh.... Saulitis Family Rivalry Part Deux!

SNEAK PEEK: December 2nd-4th: Charlotte, NC
Yes, I am proud to announce that for the second straight year, I will be making the trek to Charlotte, NC for the ACCCG! Stay tuned for updates from my 4th week of football fun :)
